About the Department
The Department of Farm Machinery & Power
Engineering, College of Technology and Engineering, Udaipur
is engaged in teaching, research and extension activities in
the field of farm machinery design, farm mechanization,
agriculture ergonomics, bio diesel and utilization of animal
energy in agricultural sector. Department is actively
engaged in transferring the technology to the farmers of
different agro-climatic zones of the state. The department
is offering under graduate course from 1964 and postgraduate
(M.E. & Ph.D.) courses from 1979 and 1997 respectively. The
College has well qualified faculty in other engineering
disciplines like Mech., Elect. Electronics, Comp., IT, Civil
and Mining Engineering. The department is having well
equipped CAD and data processing lab.
Objectives of the course
-
To acquaint the participants about the recent
trends in manufacturing and material technology.

To impart knowledge of CAD with Inventor 11 and
their applications.

To provide hands on practice of Inventor 11.
Content of the course
-
Advanced manufacturing methods viz.; EDM, ECM, USM,
AJM etc.

Materials technology & newer engineering materials

Optimization of manufacturing resources

Reengineering and benchmarking

Computer aided manufacturing & programming

Introduction to various design approaches

Application of computer software to 3-D modeling and
design

Theory and practicals on CAD Inventor 11 software
(Classes will be taken by the expert faculty from
Auto CAD Inventor 11)
Udaipur at glance
Udaipur, a beautiful city of lakes, palaces and fountains
attracts large number of tourist from within the country and
abroad. Serene in the shadows of dark green hills, three
lakes – Pichola, Fathesagar and Udaisagar are shimmering
jewels from the opal surface of which rise fairy snow white
palaces, Jagmandir and Jag-niwas. The famous temple of
Shrinathji at Nathadawara (50km) and Chittorgarh fort
(110km) are other places of interest.
How to reach Udaipur:
Udaipur is connected by daily Air-lines from Delhi and
Mumbai. It is also connected by super fast trains from Delhi
, Mumbai, Jaipur etc. It is also connected to Indore and
Ratlam by train and bus. Private luxury buses are available
from Delhi, Ahemdabad, Baroda, Mumbai, Bhopal, Indore etc.
